How ARS works: ARS has a kick "table" that looks like this:

( 1, 0 | -1, 0 )

Basically, it tries to kick right, if that fails, it tries to kick left. In TGM3 or Ti modes, the T and I piece will floorkick as long as they touch the ground. This makes it much more lenient then TGM1 and TAP.

You probably missed this in the other thread so I'll post it here too:

There are several other leaderboard threads, one of them being for TGM1.

The Grand Master Challenge thread is a little bit different. Its goal is to provide enough information to help new players take on the challenge of TGM1 and becoming a Grand Master. The leaderboard component (i.e. Veteran Grand Masters and Newly Crowned Grand Masters) is not centered on a single game as in the Records section, and is instead composed of records ranging from actual arcade scores to fan games such as Texmaster. It generally serves as encouragement for players to post their scores and discuss the game along the way to victory and Grand Master status.

The other thread features a more comprehensive starters guide, offers a function not available in the Records section (i.e. multi-game records to get an idea of who has the chops for GM instead of a rigorous leaderboards that already exist for the individual games), and is already pretty well established. Given that TGM3 is a bit of an expert's game compared to the likes of TGM1 and TGM2, it's probably a bit early to be turning focus to that style of play in a community that does not yet have a large number of established GM players.

I'd say TI is easier for most guideline MP players than TAP or TGM1. Most are already used to high speed, and TI is much easier as far as stacking goes. Hold, extra kicks and 3 previews make a world of difference. I'll start on a starter guide tomorrow, I'm too tired right now.
