what's up, I'm Pete. a pleasure to meet you all.

I only started seriously playing Tetris about a month ago when a friend introduced me to TetrisFriends. Since then, I thought I'd gotten pretty good (100% percentiles on all single-player games except 1989 and N-Blox, rank 14 in battle 6P and 2P)... until I one day clicked on the leaderboard and watched a few high-level replays   (actually, it was through Blink's TF profile that I found this place)

since then, I've been lurking the past couple of days, trying to get my head around some of the advanced terminology, and learning more about the different games and tactics (I have now migrated mainly to NullpoMino). my projects for now are:

• get used to using both rotation keys
• get used to faster DAS (I'm using the Standard-Zero ruleset on NullpoMino, which is very frustrating for now, feels very slippery... however, less frustrating than not being able to move a tetromino fast enough to save myself if I've got a high stack   )
• I saw someone talking about people becoming too reliant on lock-delay reset and jumping over pieces with rotate, which I admit is a bad habit of mine that I should probably try to break

and that's my introduction. looking forward to being here

Yes, there are many good game to try. Nullpomino is my favorite currently.
Fast DAS take some time to learn, but it's worth it.

Yeah, get used to the higher DAS, it'll be a lifesaver in the future(I wish I didn't tap so much D: )
