Concerns with Browser-based Tetris

We need to establish a consensus on which browser runs best for Blockbox/TF/TOJ, and how to tweak the settings of the browser to run the game the smoothest and reduce lag.

All I really know to do is try to have as few things running as possible and set java.exe's priority on high when I am playing Blockbox. I want to know that I am doing everything possible to enhance my performance when playing 40 lines, etc.

Hmm... On my old laptop, setting Java to high only increased my lag.
On this one, setting Java to high doesn't do anything, since this one is already super fast. Setting Java to high on this one only makes my other programs run crappily.

apparently you can press alt and drag blockbox out onto your desktop and not even have a browser running.

completely oblivious about this until now -- and still in shock.

Sounds great, but its a java feature and I think might still cause issues until you can 100% play without even going via gamepoint.

yeah with it out of the browser I still get bugs like it will freeze up after a survival game and won't let me leave or restart the round

On mac, Chrome beta sucks for TF (way too laggy). I use safari instead, indifferent to firefox

imho safari is the only way to go. i don't have issues on any of the browser games (excluding toj as I cannot play it)

wow. checking mute on every sound option really speeds things up a lot. noticed a huge difference, quite happy right now and ready to break my 40lines record
