Without having to go through all the regular stuff first, I want to practice just the invisible part.  Can anybody name any games that let you do this , but I'm trying to learn it using SRS so if possible include games that have that rotation system included.  thanks in advance.

lol serious???  thanks for the fast reply juju - i never knew.  I've used LJ before too, never knew it had that feature, I've only used it for the 40L and dig mode.

You could backup the default block skin and make your own replacement. It shouldn't be too tough to draw some [ ] blocks in Paint or something.

it actually could be involved because of the way LJ connects blocks together, combining fragments of a color from ljconn.bmp for SRS or ljconn-sega.bmp for ARS.

Well, what about segmented blocks? My current skin is a segmented one rather than connected.

yeah it would work if the skin tells the game to keep blocks segmented. then i guess you could just change each color in your blocks.bmp file to [ ].

oh, it looks like all you have to do is remove conn.bmp and conn-sega.bmp from your LJ folder. then all blocks stay segmented. it's cool tepples made that possible without generating errors when you start the game.

I was also planning to create such a topic. I also want to practice invisibility mode. I guess I will try Lockjaw. I think the future multiplayer tetris games should include a invisibility mode. That mode is a great test for imagination and it brings a whole new dimension to the tetris gameplay.

and Spawn you'd probably like all the options in Lockjaw. you can use a memoryless randomizer among other things.

Thats cool. I also want to add that future tetris game should include different randomizer and garbage systems to choose from

Blockbox's custom multiplayer has a variety of garbage options, but no randomizer selection as of yet. Some of the Heboris branches also have randomizer options.

Hebo mini even lets you use the first 10k or so pieces from the Sega Poweron pattern.

One thing I just tried the other day with a friend was having them play and tell me what the piece was well I turned facing away & closing my eyes.  The whole naming/telling where to place pieces is a bit tough, I think we're going to try with flash cards possibly, that way could just rotate the card to show how you want it placed.  I was able to get a Tetris at least though even with what we had.  I like the idea of blindfolded Tetris, taken from Chess, but with Chess you have specific coordinates so it's a little bit harder to try and do it with Tetris.

I thought that's what Typomino was supposed to fix: let the player input coordinates for each piece, which is supposed to be faster than the traditional input method.

But anyway, I'm glad to see LJ is getting some love again.
