Does anyone here use an arcade stick for either BlockBox or TetrisSplash? IT seems like it would be easier that using the 360 d-pad. If so, does anyone know of one that works with the PC or 360 out of the box, or can be easily made to shortly thereafter?
Also, does anyone know where to find BlockBox sound packs, maybe one that has a distint sound to indicate which piece is coming next?

I don't play with joystick, I'm faster on keyboard, but yeah there's a few Xbox360 joysticks out there:

and more if you google.

For the PC i think any PS3 joystick is plug and play.

As for soundpacks, here's one you can try:

HRAP3. it's usb and can be used on a pc just like any pc gamepad. i don't think you need any special drivers to get it to work. i have an HRAP2 that i got to use on my Playstation 2, and it works on my pc with an adapter. they're excellent sticks and can be easily converted to 4-way for playing tetris.

For Tetris Splash, I map movement to ABXY and claw grip the controller to make it more like playing keyboard. I still have to use the shoddy d-pad for rotation, however. Stick isn't too great without entry delay since there is more tapping involved, so I'd avoid using one for Splash or Blockbox multiplayer.

Seconding the suggestions SFIV TE n and HRAP3 for PC use since both of those have a Sanwa stick that is 4-way switchable. If you don't mind doing a little bit of modification, you could also buy a Sanwa stick and SFIV SE; The standard SFIV sticks come with cheaper proprietary parts, but are easily fitted with Sanwa parts.

Keyboard is faster than joystick.

But if you insist on a joystick (which for the marathon modes, which are based from TGM, would be appropriate) then the StreetFighter Fighstick Tournament Edition is easily the best thing out there. Expensive, but currently sells on Amazon so easy to find.

Or alternatively, if you have the confidence, buy the cheaper one (ie not tournament edition) and get arcade parts from akibaharashop.jp or some similar site, then mod it yourself as Kitaru suggested.
