tetris 3ds launch date?

does anyone have the inside scoop on when Hudson is going to release the next version of portable tetris on the 3DS?

They should probably spend time on the new tetris and give people a reason to buy it. Two handheld tetris game releases in 2 years probably isn't going to attract many new people. Who is going to buy another version of tetris so soon even if it is in 3D.

I guess they need some games to be available when it is released though so it looks like the only new content would be a 3D mode

It's supposed to be this year according to this article.  My guess is later rather than sooner.
