Is this a valid Z-spin?

If it isn't, why? Nullpomino just counts it as a regular triple.

XaeL

yes it is, but not in tpd.

QuoteLike many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.

I have the same problem. It is a valid spin. I think there's something up with NP recognition system. I did this one game and it didn't identify it... and massi4h did it a few games later and it said S-Spin Triple.

Also... there's a "Z-spin mini" I do all the time just for fun that shouldn't count, but on NP it did count it... and when I tried again another time, it didn't register.

O.o

Bottom line: I'm confused too.

So if I do it the EXACT SAME WAY on TPD it won't register as a spin?

Because I can do a ZST without overhang and somtimes it does count, but in this case it didn't.

And here's one that does work:

The fact that it gets in there means that it IS a spin and it DOES use a kick. So that means it should count.

Agamemnon

Tried a few with 180 spins, the 'rule' that seems to apply is that if there is a gap straight beneath the s/z piece, it will just be a triple and not a spin

chopin

Nooooooo, that means the system is failed D:
If it locks in, it's a twist/spin.
