his IP kept switching and the game servers have to be updated manually, so it was a pain. everything should be back now. blame his ISP.  

What other games besides tnet2 have special block modes? I recently started playing a lot of spec after being a mostly exclusively pure guy, and it's a lot more fun than I remember.

andy, i've seen you on so i know you've figured it out. but for clarity if anyone wants to get back on tnet2 they have to download a new client from the new website (tnet2.org). the old one won't connect anymore. all the verification stuff now works as well. we're still in the process of getting things working as well as we want, although tnet2 in general was never quite a finished product to start with, heh.

potion, vmware fusion works pretty well without lag. parallels virtualization of the network connection works on the same principle so theoretically it shouldn't be that bad... plus, playing from work should have you on a pretty good connection. maybe it's the hardware?

for some reason the user db we dug up was from 2005. so if you made an acct after 2005, you'll have to remake it.

potion, i run tnet2 using vmware fusion on an old macbook pro and it works pretty good.

I started playing multiplayer tetris with tetrinet in 1999 and moved to tetrinet2 sometime in 2000. I became an admin in 2003 and have been kicking random players for fun since about 2004.  

I've sucked at tetris/tetrinet since about 2005, and have been out of tetris since 2007 (when our server got shut down), so the rise of harddrop has pretty much completely passed me by.

If you ever drop by tnet2, don't be afraid to say hi. We don't bite
