[edit] Purpose

This page exists to give roughly one-sentence definitions for terms commonly encountered in the description of Tetris gameplay. --Tepples 12:43, 14 December 2006 (EST)

[edit] Mino

"Not used in Tetriswiki prose due to the similarity to Minos, the name of the Cretan king who judges the dead in Greek mythology, and to minnow, the common name for the fish P. phoxinus." Is this necessary or even valid? I mean as far as I know the only reason the word is hardly ever used is because the Tetris Worlds' Mino creatures are hardly ever referred to in the first place, not because of any similarity to some unrelated nouns. -- 59.87.132.88

Apparently individual blocks are called "Minos" in the guideline. A purported BPS employee wrote "block, standardly known as a Mino". --Tepples 14:57, 19 December 2006 (EST)
Yeah, mino never really caught on. Though, it's reasonable we don't use the term in the same sense we don't use tetrimino. 209.205.149.91 15:54, 19 December 2006 (EST)

[edit] Tetrimino pronunciation?

I pronounce it te-TRI-mi-noh. Is that an alternative? 108.65.82.231 13:15, 7 May 2017 (PDT)

"Small P Block"? It starts with S. It belongs under S, and should be "small T block" 108.66.232.221 11:52, 5 September 2017 (PDT)

If people want to know about P, then they should find it in P, and "small T block" sounds like a general term as opposed to using P.

This should be PTet, not Small P block. 108.66.232.221 11:57, 5 September 2017 (PDT)
Then it wouldn't suggest content. We need a middle ground, which is small P block.
