  • combo 1: 0
  • combo 2: 1 (+1)
  • combo 3: 2
  • combo 4: 3
  • combo 5: 5 (+2)
  • combo 6: 7
  • combo 7: 10 (+3)
  • combo 8: 13
  • combo 9: 17 (+4)
  • combo 10: 21
  • combo 11: 25
  • combo 12: 30+ (+5)


As you can see, the strategically significant numbers to remember with combos are 5, 7, 9, and 12 because those are where you get incremental rewards in terms of lines sent. What this means is that if you can push for a combo 5, 7, 9, or 12, but will have a messy playing field as a result (then it is still probably worth it); not so much if it is any other number.

We do not have accurate information beyond combo 12 because it is too difficult to test. Thanks to Caffeine for helping to collect this information.
