I look forward to hearing more about this as it progresses. I of course won't be attending (it's too far away and I'm not good enough yet for tournament play), but it's great to see things like this happening.

I look forward to a day when Tetris is considered a "sport" and worldwide tournaments are held annually Smile.png.

No flight, 15 min. by tube.

I played a bit of TF in the meantime and I will have to improve a lot...

I know that travelodges do a decent rate if you're looking for a hotel - for renting a cheap dig, this? http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index...12050518AASOK4V

If you and a couple other HD players were to go to London for this, be sure to let each other know, since obviously hotel rooms fit 4 people, so it'll work out far cheaper that way.

More details will be added to the OP soon about possible broadcasting and other such matters.

Like many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.

If I'm not in the middle of touring the UK with my parents, I shall attend!

This gives me less than a year to become a top-tier Tetris player! Whoo, time to go 40L before bed!

I'm hoping for this to be an official tourney, so it's gotta be tf. But don't worry, because my Oxford's Got Talent video used nullpo Wink.png

This reminds me: How the hell does someone actually get in touch with somebody from Tetris Inc? I have contacted them on multiple occasions, but it's only been via their lame online form, and they've never replied back.
