To try a different wallpaper in multiplayer:
» Open C:\TetrisOnline_Patchi_Patchi\skin\backmulti\default\ and rename bg0001 to bg0002 or any other name [this is your current wallpaper].
» Rename your desired wallpaper bg0001 [this file should be *.png]
» Run 'SjeJhhTool - Shortcut'
» Done
*Note: If you have a desired wallpaper but don't know to turn it into an 800x600 .png for TOJ, feel free to PM me with the link and I will be happy to resize it for you.

To try a different wallpaper in single player:
» Open C:\TetrisOnline_Patchi_Patchi\skin\backsingle\default\ and follow the directions for » » wallpaper in multiplayer.

To try a different ghost:
» Open C:\TetrisOnline_Patchi_Patchi\skin\ghost\
» Rename the default folder harddrop3 or any other name.
» Rename the harddrop folder default
» Run 'SjeJhhTool - Shortcut'

I'm gonna work on a couple backgrounds, and if I end up getting around to it, I'll post them here.

Ha, I couldn't figure this one out. When I unzipped into the game folder I don't think it overrided the originals.

Seeing the transparent frame skin in one of Blink's videos, I was motivated to do my own little TOJ skin!

TOJ Skin BlueSun
('cause it has an overall blue tone and sunflowers)

I added a nice background by RealityDream and changed the matrix frames to a semi-transparent blue tone. I also tweaked the lines inside the matrix a bit and added some stuff I personally like. The ghosts got a dark shadow, so that they are better visible using this transparent theme / background. The minos are all a bit filtered to appear not quite as shiny as in the normal style, I think it fits.

I think it is enough to extract the skin folder from the zip to your TOJ install dir (+ overwrite) and you are good to go (all SJE.HHH files are included). If it doesn't work, just run Wojtek's resource packer as described in the first post, all images are also included in the zip.

I played a few more rounds with it now, and don't quite like yet how the normal garbage sometimes looks in the lower area of the field. The contrast is not good enough for me, I tend to confuse a grabge block with background (or look twice).
Gonna fix that (make it darker + the dark time garbage black/red) and upload a v2 later.

made the standard garbage color lighter to give it more contrast, easier to play like that
also changed the hurry-up garbage to a dark red
played a good number of matches, really like the overall feel now
