I'm trying to gauge the interest in a HD official ladder for multiple games. It could be built on the tetris ladder software that member heretic posted on the forums a few weeks ago for Blockbox, except I would make ladders for multiple games (bb, toj, cultris, tds, tparty, etc.) This way people can stay competitive during the offseasons of HDO where competition is level is low, as well as compete in games that there aren't any tournaments for.

I already know it's doable but would take alot of work to implement/maintain and is a time consuming project, do you think it would be worth it?

Not sure you should combine all games into the same ladder since each game has a bit of uniqueness, but for each game separately to keep separate and maybe embeding something like that into a ranking page where members can list themselves into certain games and log into HD to arrange games and look for matches might help.

He means more than one ladder.
I think its a great idea but I don't know if people would use it that much and you should consider what games are really worth it, most people here (sadly) just play TF.

So, having something like what Heretic setup for Blockbox (that I forgot 100% about) is much more information telling if its 1st to 10 minimum then the stupid rating system already in place. Not to mention if people already play on this ladder we already broke into divisions to be used in future HDO events. Split the community so pros play in their own tournament and beginners and amateurs get their own for more excitement. Having closer matches is much better (imo) than blowouts with 15-0 results.

i think splitting tourneys into divisions is a great idea especially if they get as massive as the last one. i felt like most of the matches i played for hdo2 were decided before they started.

along with this I think there needs to be an archive of the winners of each HD Open/Competition, who came 1st, 2nd, 3rd..

I agree. This is what I thought of doing a few months ago when we had our first tournament. A Hall of Fame or something of that sort.

I think it would be cool to have one single ladder, but I don't know how you could implement one since all the games are different. =(
