Hello, Members of the Hard Drop Community. My name is Josh and I like to play Tetris. I started playing NES Tetris when I was twelve or so (I am 30 now). Over the years I have enjoyed playing Tetris on SNES and NES, and several years ago, I started playing on my Xbox 360, at which point I pretty much abandoned my NES....You see, I had been striving in vain to break the 700k barrier for years and finally more or less gave up.
But then I saw the trailer for Ecstasy of Order on TV and it re-ignited my passion for NES Tetris. That was in November of 2011. At that point in time, I had been stuck at 663637 for a high score for five and a half years. So I dug out my Nintendo, blew the dust off of it, and started playing again.
I have since broke the 700k barrier (I now have about 15 games over 700k). I went to the Midwest Gaming Classic (my first live Tetris tournament!) and won the NES A-Type Challenge with a score of 792727 (beating the likes of Ben Mullen and Mike "the Wiz" Winzinek). And just recently I broke the 800k barrier with a score of 814783.
I also dabble with Tetris Friends and NullpoMino. I would like to get into TGM.
