Blink, where are you?
So I've come to the conclusion there's one major difference between the TPD games that will prevent times from ever being comparable, never mind the minor frame rate differences. The Wii version does not allow you to hard drop until you have released left/right, and if you accidentally hit up before releasing left/right, you actually have to release up and hit it again, whereas the DS version allows you to register a hard drop even with left/right still actively being pressed. Apart from making every hard drop a fraction of a second faster on the DS version, it also allows DAS manipulation, because you can keep your DAS charged from one piece to the next. Even when I manage to get in decent Sprints on the Wii version the times always seem to be around 4 s slower than the DS version.
Also, I think this should go without saying, but I don't think scores achieved with emulators or modified hardware should be allowed on the leaderboards. I think it would be too much of an unfair advantage to be able to play with a keyboard on games that you shouldn't be able to. I'm not sure how many people have submitted such scores, but at least one person submitted a proof with a rom name as part of the file name.
