QUOTE(mcgif @ Apr 17 2010, 07:55 PM) *

I remember when like few months ago I was a really good TF player. Not the best, but not the worst for sure. There where few players who would destroy everyone. I had no clue how the hell those players where so good. But i played TF. And at some point Medias and Sirtetris told me about blockbox... They told me that there i would learn how to downstack in more efficient way... Survival etc...

I went to blockbox. And at some point i tried VS... And then i realized that i wasn't good tetris playel. In fact i wasn't average tetris player. I was a noob. I couldn't go sub 60 seconds with no line clear delay... WTH.

But i was too stupid at that point to admit it. So i thought. "meh blockbox sucks" and went back to TF to pwn random ppl there...
But at some point i went back to bb. Played a lot. Got 0:46. Which is still lame, but much better compared to 60.
While i was on bb, didn't play tf at all. And when i came back, well TF players were better than last time i saw them. but I was much faster compared to them. But because of bb, i didn't tspin that much.

Now i know, it's not about playing one game all the time. but playing all games and trying to be the best in all of them. You don't have to like bb. ok, it is ugly. and hard. But it gives you more than any other game. Thats my personal opinion. It gives you speed and technique. And now i finally know how those really good TF players got there... They played many games. And that includes bb...

So please don't say "bb sucks" because you have no idea what bb is, and what bb can give you.
tl;dr

blockbox is awesome and can help you improve.

Like many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.
