Hi,
my name is David, I'm 26 and from Germany.I love playing compatitive games and recently got addicted to tetris =) When I was 13 I began playing Quake2(later 3) and continued playing until I was 20 on a high level. Meanwhile I'm a professional poker player for the last 6 years. Tetris is a great way for me to learn something new where I can be compatitive and have alot of fun with it.
I googled "tetris community" and found HD. As I'm very new to tetris I'm still not very familiar with all the terminologys but I'm sure I will figure it all out soon. My goal for the next 2 weeks is to work through the Most useful topics thread.

Hey David! Welcome to HD, let's play poker together sometime! I'm no pro but I'd love to learn how to improve if you have free time, I'm not even kidding. I used to play a lot on Full Tilt before it shut down for USA customers and would win more than I lose, but I wonder how pros do it so consistently.
