Hey, guys

I've been reading that and I told myself "Maybe I should check that out".
So, under the guise of a guest, I went in there and tried it.
Since I came from Tetris Friends, the default controls were....difficult to master (it must take a lot of getting used to it).
So I changed the controls to that of TF and played a Classic game.
When I was at Lv15, I couldn't believe that I could still see the pieces falling; on TF's Marathon, at such a level, the pieces were dropped almost instantly.
And I told myself "This isn't Grand Master, this isn't Grand Master..." (I had a taste of the "invisible credits roll" on TF Survival, minus the credits)
A while earlier, I watched a video of "Blink v. Corrosive". I couldn't believe what I saw.
The level increases with EVERY Tetrimino??? Are those really TGM conditions???
But then, I've never tried the TGM series...would want to, but never could.

That was my 2 cents on BlockBox. Maybe I ought to sign in there unsure.gif

Classic takes too much time to get fast, you should play it just to unlock the "Marathon 3" and play that to unlock TA Death and SHIRASE style modes.
Those are a lot faster specially "Expert Ti" and for master mode-like modes try the marathons.
Also try some versus mode tongue.gif
And you should register!

Okay, I'll do just that! Thanks!

Classic stops being a competition to how good you are at Tetris quite quickly, and starts being more about how far you can be bothered to keep going.

Because of Deniax's damn continued work on the game I'll try and amend this manual at the weekend to put in all the stuff that's been added since it was written.

The level does increase with pretty much every single tetromino and line clear (aside from the level stops until you clear a line at 99, 199, 299 etc), but it doesn't matter so much because the speed doesn't increase as fast with the levels:

As you can see, there's no difference in speed for the first 20 levels, unlike the western games where Level 20 is usually as fast as it gets.

Wow, nice graph
Wouldn't have thought that at Lv300 and beyond, I would start picking up some Gs
But I never made it to Lv500 on BlockBox's Marathon 3, on account of slow play (mostly due to my sticking to SRS), so I never experienced gameplay at 20G sad.gif
But one day...

Actually, Marathon 3 is something of an oddball. When you get the Cool for the section, -- which happens if you play reasonably fast and not too much slower than the previous section -- you skip 100 levels of the speed curve. So, picking up a few Cools in the starting sections gives you 20G at level 300.

So I noticed that BlockBox lets you upload soundpacks. Anyone happen to have a link to one that gives it the TGM sound effects? Those "dings" get annoying.

Possibly, but it won't be posted here on account of it containing copyrighted sounds.

Thanks for the guide.

How do you save replays? When I click on replays it just shows a bunch of empty spots and save buttons, but clicking on the save buttons does nothing.

That is how you save replays. If they're not working then I'm not sure why.
