"During a press event-slash-"coming out" party for the PSP Go, Sony had a couple of games in the upcoming PSP Minis selection available to play. Their presence was low-key, apparently just to prove that they are real and they work. That said, here are some quick hands-on impressions of the two games we could sample.
Tetris: EA's produced a few mobile versions of Tetris, so this PSP version was unsurprisingly, yet pleasantly, enjoyable. It has its own nice "blue steel" look to it and some novel extra game modes (like one where the entire set of blocks shifts one square to the right after each piece). Unfortunately, with Sony restricting multiplayer features on Minis games, this is a strictly single-player affair. So, while it's nice to finally see Tetris on PSP, hopefully it won't be the only version. Still, a fine diversion that plays well, as Tetris usually is. "
